Conference of Iranian Cultural Attaches to Start Work Today

TEHRAN More than 70 Iranian cultural attaches will attend the conference a one-week cultural gathering from August 5 to study and coordinate cultural programs abroad. Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO) will sponsor the conference, which is the third of its kind. Meanwhile, in an interview on Monday, Deputy Chief of the ICCO, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Saeed Naeimani said that the confab aims to coordinate the cultural policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad.
He also said that the confab is held in order to inform the cultural ambassadors of the current policies of their country in all fields, cultural issues in particular.
Practical methods for sound presentation of Iranian culture, expansion of cultural relations with other countries and informing the world of the principles and cultural stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be the focus of the conference, he said.
Promotion of Persian language and literature is also on the agenda of the conference, he said.
The organization is responsible for promotion of all cultural activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad, he said.
